Sir Alex Ferguson, the former boss of Manchester United and Arsene Wenger the ex-Arsenal manager had a ferocious competition. The legendary and the most respected former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently said that he loved the competition with Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger.
Ferguson shared his view in an interview with a leading new channel at the time when Wenger was recognized by the named a ‘Legend of Football’ at the annual Nordoff Robbin’s charity award dinner. He quoted, “I really enjoyed or I can say I loved the competition opposite you. The match was very close and watching it live was a great experience. We had great times together and it is wonderful that you are getting this award here. So all I say is good luck and my blessing is always with you and will be with you”.
The equally famous former boss of Arsenal was also celebrating his managerial career after he won titles in three Premier League. The titles are seven FA Community Shields and seven FA Cups in his 21-year stint. Sir Alex and Wenger had some ferocious run during their days at the rudder. Both have spent a great time with their respective teams and known for their managerial skills. During their days, they were considered as rivals, but now at the award show, the rivalry vanishes and both praised each other with true feeling. This is called true sportsmanship.
Ferguson said into Wenger in public, “You had a brilliant career at Arsenal as a manager and it is absolutely fantastic that you are receiving such an incredible and prestigious award. You can an absolute legend.” Ferguson has also received the award of ‘Legends of Football’ in the past for his incredible work in the field.
