Solksjær Compares His Quartet Of Players To Sir Alex’s Stars

Manchester United boss Olé Gunnar Solksjær has made a sensational comparison between four of his senior stars to a certain quarter of players that used to play for former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Although United are yet to enjoy success close to what the legendary Scot enjoyed during his reign as the manager of the Red Devils, there is a growing belief that the hunt for a first Premier League title since Sir Alex retired could finally come to an end following the team’s current form.

United are currently on a 14-game unbeaten run which has seen them maintain their spot as the Premier League table-toppers as the charge for the title continues. Although many still believe United don’t have enough firepower to lead them to title glory, there is still the belief within the dressing room that it is very much possible, especially if they can continue to maintain the blistering form that they are currently in.Solksjær was speaking in an interview where he made the comparisons, insisting that himself (as a player), Teddy Sheringham, Dwight Yorke, and Andy Cole and the current United quartet of Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford have some traits in common as they are also equally a potent threat in attack.

The United boss explained that he used to play for Sir Alex Ferguson who had four center-forwards available at his disposal to choose from. He said anyone selected to spearhead the attack had the ability to provide goals anytime from anywhere and that was exactly how good they were.

He then added that he is very much pleased with the options he has now as they are also deadly and can provide a lot of goals when the team needs them the most.
